Raye Cardigan Ecru

New for AW24, we reimagined the Raye sweater into a cardigan.  

The Raye cardigan has the same relaxed silhouette as the sweater, with a dropped shoulder, boxy shape and a straight hem. The minimal, modern design combines heritage knitwear details at the seams inspired by English gansey jumpers and deep ribs at the hem and cuffs. A versatile piece that works well dressed up or down, over a dress or shirt, or worn over the Raye vest for a modern take on the twinset.

Finished with undyed corozo buttons made in the UK, and sewn with cotton thread so the whole garment is biodegradable.

The wool is undyed, the ecru colour is the natural colour of the fleece with a soft grey marl which with the lustre of the wool gives it a lovely depth and character.

Made from fully traceable, undyed 100% British wool from a single breed of sheep, Bluefaced Leicester, known for the fineness of their fleece. It has a soft, luxurious feel and is comfortable to wear against the skin. The wool we use is made by Herd and is processed without chemicals.

Constructed using the traditional knitting process of fully fashioning. Each piece of this garment is knit separately and then linked together by hand. All within a few miles of our studio.

Care
