The Fara British Wool Sweater is named after the Scottish Gaelic name for Fair Isle.
Fair Isle is an island in Shetland, located in northern Scotland. The name means "fair island," "far-off isle," or "sheep isle". It is apt that this soft, warm British wool fairisle design was named in it's honour.
The Norse name for Fair Isle is Friðarey, which means 'calm/peaceful isle' or 'island of tranquility'.
The piece is part of Oubas' Advent collection; they are making a limited batch of 15 in each shade. The Fara is available to pre-order made in their Lake District studio in time for Christmas. All jumpers will be numbered and hand signed by their makers.
Orders will close on Friday 13th December and they will despatch to you the following week.
