High Waisted Organic & Recycled Mushroom Wood Blue Jeans

High waisted blue relaxed mom fit jeans with a zip fly. This jean is inspired by the patterns and textures of bark on trees which crackles, peels and flakes, the tiny yellow mushrooms represent regrowth and health. Fungi and its powers to bring life back to areas of distress has been a constant in the concept behind these jeans. Here in particular the crackled wood represents the tree's life coming to an end but the mushrooms taking over to provide nutrients to other organisms and continue the biodiversity of the forest which plays an important role in the ecosystem. The jean is screen printed with an ink called Aquaflex which is a sustainable alternative to traditional inks that produces Zero discharge of hazardous chemicals that is both GOTS Certified and OEKO-TEX ECO Certified.

69% Organic Cotton, 20% Post Consumer Recycled Cotton, 9% Recycled Plastic Bottles, 2% Recycled Polyester.

The use of Post-consumer Recycled Denim ensures that pre-existing denim that cannot be resold or repaired is worked back into the system and not headed for landfill, giving exciting materials a new life through various textile techniques.
