The Nereides were fifty sea-nymphs and the  daughters of Nereus, the old man of the sea. 

They were the living embodiment of the ocean itself, from the salty spray to the crashing waves.

The Melite earrings feature natural blue 8mm chalcedony cabochons, to represent calm waters of the ocean.
