Raye British Wool Cardigan Butter Yellow

There are just a few left of this butter yellow shade of the Raye caridigan.  Made from 100% certified, traceable British wool from native Bluefaced Leicester sheep, spun in Yorkshire and knitted in London -  a truly British knit.

With the same relaxed silhouette as the sweater, the Raye cardigan has a boxy shape and a straight hem with our signature deep ribs at the sleeve and hem.  Slightly cropped to finish at the hip, the modern design combines heritage knitwear details at the seams inspired by English gansey jumpers. A versatile piece that works well dressed up or down and pairs well with skirts, trousers or dresses.

Finished with natural buttons made from nuts and sewn with cotton thread so that the whole knit is biodegradable and can return to soil at the end of it's long and useful life.

Bluefaced Leicester sheep are known for the fineness of their fleece which is why we use it for our knitwear. It's so soft it's often compared to cashmere.   Our yarn is fully traceable from farm to fibre which means we know the name of every single farmer who's fleece went into our yarn.  It is certified by British Wool which means that farmers are guaranteed a fair price for their wool.

Constructed using the traditional knitting process of fully fashioning whereby each piece of the cardigan is knit separately and then linked together and finished by hand at our partner factory just down the road.

Care
